About Drum Prodigy Singapore
Drum Prodigy Singapore is a social enterprise that provides music education and wellness programmes for all abilities in a positive, non-competitive and empowering environment. DPSG is a member of raiSE, the Singapore Centre for Social Enterprises. We are committed to providing an inclusive environment for persons with and without disabilities to flourish in the arts together, particularly music. We also empower persons with disabilities in their careers through pre-employment training, on-job training and inclusive hiring opportunities.
Overview
Drum Prodigy fosters a positive, non-competitive and empowering environment through its music lessons, community programmes and performing arts. The company’s second focus lies in its commitment to its inclusive workforce based on DEIB goals (diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging) and actively promoting the hiring of persons with disabilities (PwDs).
Aligned with UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 3, 4, 8, and 10, Drum Prodigy champions inclusive quality education and mental well-being while reducing social inequalities through the arts. By providing vocational pathways for persons with disabilities, we turn rhythmic passion into sustainable empowerment and decent work for all.

The Inclusive Drum School
Our core social goals are: (1) to ensure access to quality drum education and performing arts opportunities for persons with and without disabilities; (2) to provide an inclusive learning environment that facilitates social interactions and play among students with and without disabilities.
At the core of Drum Prodigy’s mission is a commitment to inclusivity, exemplified by our innovative methodology merging arts education and wellness since 2016. We provide tailored programmes ensuring an inclusive experience for diverse abilities. Through instrumental learning of drums, group classes and talent development initiatives, Drum Prodigy not only imparts cognitive skills but also facilitates social opportunities, contributing to the overall well-being of its diverse community. Additionally, we extend our support to parents, caregivers, educators and corporates, offering music and group empowerment drumming programmes to mitigate burnout and enhance mental health.
The Inclusive Workforce
Drum Prodigy addresses the importance of inclusive work culture by providing onboarding programmes for our team members through training in disability and inclusive practices at the workplace. A remarkable 40 percent of the Drum Prodigy workforce comprises individuals with disabilities, holding the key role of School Support Assistant (SSA). Recognising the untapped potential of talented students with disabilities, we created the SSA role for adults with disabilities to work alongside our arts instructors through classroom management, student assistance, facility maintenance, event coordination, arts mentorship and ensemble performances.

2016
DPSG is born
Drum Prodigy Singapore is formally established as a registered social enterprise, opening private percussion classes.
2017
First studio
We join raiSE and open our first physical home on Upper Thomson Road.
2019
Room to grow
A move to a five-studio facility on Hougang Ave 8, the same year we're recognised with the Brands For Good Diversity & Inclusion award.
2020
Rhythm online
When the world goes virtual, so do we, keeping every student drumming from home before returning in person by June.
2022
Football For All
We launch Football For All and open our Bras Basah Complex outlet, right in the heart of the city.
2023
Centre stage
Our first jazz recital and the Inclusive Music & Soccer Carnival bring the whole DP community together.
2024
Enabling Mark (Gold)
Awarded by SG Enable at the Enabling Mark Awards Ceremony, recognising Drum Prodigy as a Gold-tier disability-inclusive employer.
